Worship Ministry
Worship Ministry Team tends to the worship life of the Ridgeway Community. This Ministry team works with the pastor to plan worship services and other community worship opportunities. Our desire as a church is that our worship be centered on Jesus, authentic to the whole range of human experience and create spaces where we are open to transforming presence of God and to each other in new and renewing ways.
Congregational Life Ministry
The Congregational Life Ministry Team facilitates regular times of fellowship and celebration that enhance Ridgeway Mennonite Church’s congregational life and relationships, and also assists the Pastoral Leadership Team (PLT) with assessing and providing care ministries for individuals and families in the congregations.
Outreach Ministry
The Outreach Ministry Team enables Ridgeway Mennonite Church’s outreach in the church neighborhood, Harrisonburg community, and the wider world.
Kids Club is an outreach to the neighborhood children who live within walking distance of Ridgeway. We meet every Wednesday from 5:00-6:00 during the school year. The kids participate in singing, crafts, stories, games, and snack. We want to provide a loving, safe, and fun place for the children in the neighborhood to learn about God.
Ridgeway Supports other outreach and mission ventures local and global through personal connections and related church agencies.
We have deep conviction that Jesus is always good news for everyone and we seek to live out that message with our lives seeking to reflect the unconditional reconciling love of God.
Spiritual Formation Ministry
The Spiritual Formation Ministry Team provides for the Christian education and faith formation of Ridgeway Mennonite Church.
This includes Second Hour (Sunday School) opportunities for every age from young to old.
There are also a variety of small groups formed for various times and purposes.
This ministry area includes children and youth ministries.
Youth Ministry (Includes Jr. High and Sr. High Students)
At Ridgeway we have a deep desire to include our youth into the full life of the church. We seek to create spaces of belonging and faith formation. Inviting each student to grow as a follower of Jesus.
Second Hour Youth Class : Meets Sundays at 10:45-11:30am
Youth Activities are usually Sunday Afternoon 5:00-6:30pm
Ridgeway Mennonite Church Children's Ministry
Sunday Mornings at 10:45-11:30am
- Nursery: 6 weeks – 2 years
- Pre-Schoolers: 3 years – 5 years
- Elementary: Kindergarten – 5th Grade
- *Special Partnership this year with the Explore More Discovery Museum - All children 12 and under connected to Ridgeway Church community receive a free one year membership.(includes the whole family)
